Happy White Wednesday!
While looking online for some new light pendants to hang over my peninsula, I happened upon Sarah Richardson's site. She is one of my favorite designers and she is local!
I love the way she mixes vintage pieces into her designs.
Nobody does "cottage" like Sarah Richardson!
Prepare yourself for some cottage love!
These pics are from her own cottage on Georgian Bay

Just love her mix of wing chairs with vintage bench and these awesome vintage office chairs with her shabby dining table.

Here is another view of her dining table looking into the kitchen. Look at the way she mixes the different fabrics and textures. Love her cottagey signature blues and greens.

Another view into the kitchen.
How great is this little seating area?

How about this living room, aren't those views awesome?
Sarah's Cottage is on one of the many little Islands in Georgian Bay so she needs to take a boat to get to the cottage. Basically views all around. Oh well I guess you can't have it all! Lol.

Doesn't this look like a nice place to curl up with a cup of tea and a great book? Or maybe just a spot to sit and take in the views.

Wouldn't you love to spend a weekend here?
Once again, look at the mix of fabrics and textures. These birch lamps were made by Sarah and her sidekick Tommy, from an old birch tree. So pretty.
I hope you enjoyed taking a look at Sarah's Cottage with me, if you would like to see more of Sarah's work you can find that here.
Okay, now I need to get back to searching for some pendant lighting!
Sarah is one of my favorites too! Her work is so pretty yet has a comofortable feeling to it. Thanks for sharing these wonderful pictures.
ReplyDeleteSarah is my favorite TV designer. I love the way she mixes high and low and vintage and new. She is brilliant and so is Tommy. I watch the reruns over and over again and love her website.

ReplyDeleteThat chaise with a view of the water looks like a little slice of heaven!
ReplyDeleteSarah Richardson is my favorite designer too. I have a cottage and I used to watch her show on HGTV to get ideas when we were building it. But I guess it doesn't come on anymore because I have not seen it advertised. Thanks for sharing those photos.
ReplyDeleteI am in LOVE with her dining area! That kitchen table has inspired me, I am now on the hunt for a similar table, bench, and upholstered chairs I can transform :)

ReplyDeleteOk, I LOVE Sarah Richardson and her sidekick Tommy... in fact they didn't ever air Sarah's Cottage in the US. All of her other shows/series including Sarah's House air here but Sarah's Cottage is only online and you must be in Canada to view it. So when I visited my daughter (Dropped Stitch Knitter above :))in Toronto in February we watched every episode! Thanks for sharing her amazing cottage pictures. And good luck with the light hunt!
