Happy Tuesday to you all!
Today is laundry day where I clean all my slipcovers and cushion covers. Every couple of months or so (depending on how dirty animal paws are) I strip down all the furniture spending the day taking off covers, and putting on covers...it can be quite the job but so rewarding!
Do I use this washpail and washboard? I don't think so! But they look good don't they?
I got this galvanized washpail at a garage sale and the washboard is from a thrift store. I think they both cost twenty dollars combined.

Here are all the cushion covers that are in the living room now that will be washed along with the slipcovers, it's like getting new clean furniture everytime!
I'm loving the blues, creams, whites and burlap beiges.
I think my style is nautical farmhouse!
Hey it goes, doesn't it?
My family comes from PEI where you can see beautiful little farms with views of the ocean so this nautical farmhouse theme is in my blood! Lol.
Here is a little peek of two new cushion covers I got on sale at PB.
They're going on my muskoka chairs on the porch/veranda and will soon match what is now my black front door.
Stay posted!
Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed day!

I love having slipcovered couches for the exact same reason. They always looks so pretty after cleaning day! I love all the blues you add in your decorating, beautiful :)
ReplyDeleteGood info, many thank you to the author. It is incomprehensible to me now, but in general, the particular usefulness and importance is overpowering. Thanks again and good luck!
DeleteMy next family room set.... slipcovered for sure!
ReplyDeletehi Kim, I love your new cushion covers.
ReplyDeleteHi Kim-
ReplyDeleteI love the color and mix of patterns of the covers. I am a blue and anything by the sea lover. I think your decorating style Nautical Farmhouse is just divine.

Must be a good feeling when all is washed and put back on. I feel that way after the whole house is clean.

I adore Nautical Farmhouse, I think I have a bit of that going on over here. :) I love your covers, they are gorgeous and your washtub and board are great finds! Have fun washing!

Gorgeous laundry inspiration. I am doing mine up at the moment so thanks
ReplyDeleteBest Carolyn
My grandmother's laundry room really had those items in it.
ReplyDeleteI can relate to the whole nautical cottage feel, I'm in NS, a short boat ride from PEI. And since we also have an old farmhouse on the Northumberland strait I've given my particular style of decorating the tag of "farmottage". sounds funny but it actually helps me stay on track when buying things for our home!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the colors and how well they blend together..Your washboard and washtub are adorable..Are you going to be posting any photos of your porch?..Have a great week..
ReplyDeleteJanet
love the galvanized pail!!...I'm also loving the blue paisley fabric!!...beautiful. I'm about to do the same thing over at our house...been waiting for the pollen to clear so i can hang my covers outside to dry!!!...You are right, it is a job, but so worth it!!...Have a wonderful week...xo, Mariaelena

Love your photos. Nautical farmhouse fits for sure. I always think of lakeside farmhouse for us because of all the time we have spent at Ontario lakes. Love the fabrics.
ReplyDeleteOkay, first, can I be dumb? What is PEI and please tell me that someone else doesn't know either.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I love your nautical farmhouse look you have going on. Your style is just beautiful!
I wish my laundry were that clean and beautiful! ;)
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of PB, I am giving away a $50 gift card this week...might be right up your alley!
